THE BATTLE BEGINS

I can't tell you how many times I've heard the words "if I can do it, you can do it." after someone that I know has lost a lot of weight with diet and exercise? Only as soon as I hear the words, deep down inside, I can't help but feel the question rise up from my protruding gut, then out of my mouth, as I ask, "How'd you do it?"Hmm, slap my ears, Duh! Didn't they just say "Diet and Exercise." Yeah, they did, but I don't want to know about that part, naw, what I want to know about is the Miracle........... Yeah that's right, the miracle potion that made them slim and shapely.

Only by now I know that there is no miracle potion and no amount of wishful thinking will bring one into being, after all wasn't it Oprah that said, if there were she would have it and own the rights to the potion?

Fact is, in my heart of hearts I know that to loose weight I can't continue to eat and veg like I have been. So whadda know, that all to familiar battle of the wills begins, when my inner child says "yes, sure you can, whilst my head is saying, Yeah Right, it ain't happening baby.

So, miracle potion less, this is my story of a boxing match between my inner child, SURE CAN and My head, YEAH RIGHT. A 12 rounds fight of the battle of the wills.

In the Right corner, wearing red fonts, put your hands together and give a round of applause for My Inner Child, Sure Can, I want to be a 145 lbs. And in the Left corner, wearing the blue fonts, raise your fists, and give a loud boo for Yeah Right. weighing in at 230 lbs, and who has won, countless titles over the years and who still holds the belt for Heavy Weight Yeah Right Champion of the Blogging World.

Ding, Ding, Ding.
